The "Old Wellingtonians' Association" (OWA) is the link for former pupils (OWs) of Wellington School in Somerset. The ideal of the OWA is to promote contact and friendship between pupils and former pupils on leaving school.

The website will facilitate the publication of Old Wellingtonians' news, events and meetings both in the UK and overseas. Please ensure that you take a few moments to look at the drop down pages in order to access information of past, present and forthcoming OWA events. It is intended that the website will grow to give even more information of interest to Old Wellingtonians including a page on School events. Since this new website is the first stand alone website for Old Wellingtonians, OWs are invited to make suggestions by using the form on the "Contact the Association" page. All suggestions will be considered by the OWA committee, whose decision will be final.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
This year 2012 signals the 175th Anniversary of the founding of Wellington School. This year's OWA November Reunion Weekend and Annual General Meeting on Saturday 10 November will start the anniversary celebrations with a Thanksgiving Service in the School Chapel late on Saturday afternoon followed by a celebration Dinner and Dance in the evening in the Alan Rogers Centre. In 2013 there will be a special celebration Family Day on School Field - details and dates will be advised in due course. This year's Family Day will not happen due to the constraints of a truncated summer term, exams, the Queen's Jubilee and the Olympics. All OWs are encouraged to join the celebrations and details of all events for the Reunion weekend will be published later on the Events Calendar page.

2013 will see the centenary of the foundation of the CCF Corps of Drums. As part of the celebrations for this milestone, the Corps of Drums will take part in the Last Post Ceremony, followed by laying of wreaths by Old Wellingtonians and current pupils, at the Menin Gate in Ypres on Friday 15 March - please see all the details for this occasion, including how to join the celebrations, in the pdf file on the Events Calendar page.

2012 OWA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - SATURDAY 10 NOVEMBER 2012
The OWA President (Caroline Heaton) and Chairman (Jonathan Horler) both retire at this AGM in accordance with the Constitution & Rules of the Association. The OWA Committee invite nominations for OWA President and OWA Chairman to be elected at this AGM. The period of office for both appointments is two years, but the Chairman maybe elected for a second period of two years. If there is more than one nomination for either position, each nominee will be asked to make a short presentation at the AGM prior to a vote being taken.
