London Reunion Lunch 2016
On a sparkling May morning, around 100 OWs, from the 1950s to the 1990s attended the London Reunion Luncheon at the RAF Club, Piccadilly. The luncheon held on Thursday 12 May was the culmination of many months of hard work on the part of Nigel Calder, Vice-Chairman of the OWA, and Brian Goggin, Hon Secretary, who with the help of the Development Office, left no stone unturned in terms of regaining contact with fellow members of the OWA, some after many years "in the wilderness". As William Bailey, Chairman of the OWA announced, it was very pleasing to be in the company of so many old - and young - friends again.

The President of the OWA, Mike Fuller, welcomed the invited group to the meal, and grace was read by Chris Sexton, co-founder of the London lunch. After a delicious meal with a decidedly Welsh theme, Henry Price, Headmaster, addressed the group and the formalities were brought to a close with a rousing rendition of an early School Song.

It was followed up by an evening meeting in the bar, where some of the luncheon guests were joined by OWs who had not been able to attend the day time reunion.

Malcolm Gaunt, committee member, made a super photographer for the day and evening, and we thank him warmly for his untiring effort to make sure everyone was photographed at least once! More photos are on the OWA facebook site.

The date for the lunch next year has been set for Thursday, May 11th, again at the RAF Club, so please put the date in your diary.
